If something is going to live in my kitchen I want it to be two things: well used and attractive. This steamer fits in perfectly, in fact I wouldn’t mind it staying on the counter top permanently as I know it will be used a lot. The sturdy stainless steel base and digital screen give it a high end feel and all the attachments are dishwasher safe.
Steaming your veg is one of the healthiest ways to cook it; it retains more vitamins and doesn’t use any fat. That was the only reason I wanted a steamer until I read the manual. It talks you through the settings that will cook chicken, fish, shellfish, fruit, rice and even eggs! Steamed lobster anyone?
So what does it cost? They’re for sale online here for £25 and I’m sure they’ll have them in store too. I can’t wait to get some more use out of this. Maybe I’ll give the lobster idea a test run.

Oh wow, this does sound pretty great. I kinda need to give my slowcooker a bit more love before I invest in any more cooking aides though!

Don’t they just! The difference between boiled and steamed is pretty massive flavour wise! X
