It’s been a cult beauty favourite for 20 odd years – I’ve only had it a month but it’s safe to say this will be a staple. I’m always looking for ways to give me that radiant healthy glow back, and this does it for me with or without foundation.
At £28 for 50ml, it is pretty steep, but a little really does go a long way. The amount above covers my whole face.
Flash Balm is sold as a moisturiser, primer, anti-ageing cream and a face mask. I can’t really comment on the anti-ageing effect and I wouldn’t want to waste such an expensive product as a face mask but as a moisturiser and primer it has blown me away.
Since switching to oil cleansing, I’ve need a lighter moisturiser for the day time and this does the job perfectly. The smell is so fresh and the balm feels clean and light. On it’s own it gives me the boost I need to fool people I’m feeling a little bit better. Under foundation, it’s the perfect primer, my foundation lasts longer and the finish is much smoother.
Most products that boast an anti fatigue or radiant effect are stuffed full of chemicals, but Clarins pride themselves on natural ingredients like: olive extract, witch hazel, bisabolol (a chamomile extract) and algae. You can learn more about them all here. I was also pleased to see there was no glitter/shimmer in the mix which can look blatantly fake in day light.
I could honestly harp on about it for another 500 words but I don’t think you need me to sell it to you, just go and try it. I’d recommend going to a Clarins stand rather than purchasing online. These ladies live and breathe the products, you won’t get better advice from anywhere.
