I’ve been reading a lot of hype about nail beads (I’m a sucker for gimmicky nail stuff) so when MUA’s Constellations range launched this week, I was amongst the first to get my hands on some.
I had some worries when it came to applying them and envisaged the tiny beads scattering around the room so I armed myself with a bowl to catch them in and went to work.
Funky, quick and no mess at all. Seen here in Libra alongside OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark (Suede).
I really like the look of these and felt they were a nice accent just on one finger but an hour after drying, one by one they started dropping off! I figured some top coat would do the trick but was left with a stained brush and an orange gloopy mess in between the beads. Top coat is a no go!
All in all, these are a quick spruce up for a night out but not very practical for day to day wear. I imagine finding them all over the house!
If you still fancy giving them a go they’re £3 and available here. Let me know if you have any luck keeping them on!

I didn’t realise MUA bought out a version of this. I’m someone who is constantly washing their hands, so I can’t see them lasting on me for very long at all.

They just came out last week. I thought some top coat would seal them in but it made the colour run off the beads and just ended up one big mess. I’m pretty disappointed that they aren’t very wearable. Can you imagine trying to wash your hair with them on? Nightmare x

For £3 I don’t think we can expect much but they really are just a one/two day thing but I was disappointed all in all. You can order them online though on the MUA site. Thank you for following, I’m following you back on GFC 🙂 xx
