I’m often told that I look like my Mum. My hair is much fairer but we fight the same curls. I don’t have her olive toned skin or her green eyes, but I’m thankful I have some of her cheekbones.
I’ve always thought I was more like my Dad in personality but it seems as I get older that I’m actually turning in to my Mum. I confessed my fears to Matt this week and his response was “well, that isn’t exactly a bad thing”. If that’s not a compliment for Momma H I don’t know what is!
Given that Mother’s Day is popping along shortly there are all sorts of competitions and press releases finding their way in to my inbox to share with you all, but I’ll only be sharing one this year and it’s from Hallmark, who seem to have perfectly captured my Mother Metamorphosis in the infographic below. It gave me a giggle!
I wouldn’t say I score highly on the ‘top 5 indicators’, but I often catch myself giving out some of my Mum’s classic lines like “she’s dressed like it’s summer”. Honestly, do teenagers not feel the cold?!
Anyway, I’d love to know how you fit with the stats below. Are you guilty of using the ‘Mum phrases’ on your other half? I’ve certainly joked a few times that Matt won’t get his dessert unless he finishes his mains, but we all know dessert has a separate compartment, right?
Hallmark are also holding a prize draw to win afternoon tea for you and your Mum if you’d like to enter.
P.S. Hopefully this post serves as a handy reminder too, don’t forget to pick up a little something for your Mum!
Let me know what you think
