I didn’t want to post about Christmas until December but I have a present for one of you and I’d like you to get it in time for the big day, which means telling you about it now. I’ve rounded up some of the best food related stocking fillers under £5 and as a thank you for supporting me this year, one of my readers will get the whole lot. To enter, fill in the Rafflecopter gadget when you get to the bottom of this post.
Divine Fairtrade Chocolate Christmas Tree -Much much cuter than chocolate coins and far nicer. Divine chocolate is seriously good and fairtrade too! They’re available at Tesco and Waitrose for £4 and come in white, plain and dark chocolate.
Traditional Panettone – Panettone is the traditional Italian Christmas bread. This lovely mini panettone comes from one of my favourite online food shops, Sous Chef. This one is £3.95 but they do a variety of sizes.
Spaghetti al Nero – Squid ink spaghetti has been really trendy this year so makes a nice filler for someone who hasn’t tried it yet. This comes from a brand called Black Dog who donate a percentage of their profits each year to the The Labrador Rescue Trust. £2.99
French’s Mini Cookbook – These miniature French’s (Mustard) and Frank’s (RedHot Sauce) recipe books are £2.99 each and a ‘must give’ present for any mustard or hot sauce fans. You can find them in newsagents and most major supermarkets.
Go Nuts! Coconut – These are something that took me by surprise. They remind me a lot of chocolate truffles, but there’s nothing unhealthy in sight. They’re made of prunes, raisins, almonds, brazil nuts and coconut but taste really naughty! They’re £2.80 a pack from EPJ Health.
Kents Kitchen Meal Kits – The next best thing to cooking from scratch is one of these. They beat ready meals and jar sauces hands down. An unusual addition to a stocking, but at £2.30 each, anyone would thank you for introducing them to this brand.
22 Carat Gold Leaf Wine – Guaranteed to add some sparkle to Christmas day these mini bottles of white whine are full of shimmering gold leaf. It certainly makes the wine more festive. They’re available from Asda for £2.15.
Red Mixing Bowl & Pestle & Mortar – These both come from TK Maxx’s Sister company, Homesense. This wonderful mixing bowl is an absolute steal at £3.99 and the pestle and mortar is £4.99. There are stores dotted all over the UK with some real bargains to be had so instead of including the actual items in the giveaway, Homesense have kindly offered a £10 voucher for the lucky reader to pick their own stocking fillers.
Some of the items in this giveaway were gifted by the brands involved, the rest were bought with my own money.
