Enrapture Encode Totem Styler

You know you’ve been spoilt at Christmas when your amazon wish list is pretty much empty! I’d coveted the Enrapture encode totem styler for a long time so you can imagine how pleased I was to open this on Christmas morning. I quickly thanked my wonderful boy and disappeared to my room to try them out.

My first thought was they feel much better quality than tongs I’ve owned in the past. They’re sturdy but not too heavy despite the titanium barrel. I also like how short the “flipper” is (the bit that holds the end of your hair). Being so short, it doesn’t get in the way if you wanted to ignore it and use the styler as a wand instead. The plastic lever and the very tip of the barrel stay cool to touch so you don’t have to worry about burning yourself whilst you work.

I was pleased to see that the stand on these tongs is actually useful! You can easily put them down without worrying about damaging your floor or table and the stand that swivels out of the way easily too.

Now here’s the part that makes these so different from other tongs or curlers. The barrel is split in to three sections which have independent heat settings, controlled by the dials below. It takes a little while to get a feel for what type of curl each code will give you but once you have that figured out you’re set. My favourite so far is 1-1-2 for a loose wave.  There are so many combinations, whoever invented this styler is a genius!

If you normally curl or wave your hair with GHDs, you’d be very impressed with these. You get a much more natural shape and they’re way more versatile. My curls last and my hair feels super smooth. It’s safe to say I’m happy with my new toy! Maybe your boy will treat you for Valentines?
