Matt and I are just starting to look at a new cooker. At the moment we have one with a gas oven and hob but it’s a little smaller than we’d like and the temperate of our oven is rather ‘temperamental’, shall we say.
There are so many types of hob and oven these days that I’ve had to do much more research than I imagined. We know we want something bigger, but gas, induction, solid plate? My brain is scrambled. I want little features of them all!
I’d really love a range, but I always thought they were very pretty limiting. I guess it’s because brands like Aga and Rayburn have been around so long that I just assumed they were really old-fashioned. I imagined no heat control at all and for some reason I thought they were constantly turned on.
Talk about misconceptions, I was completely wrong – they’re flipping self-cleaning! I’m really impressed with the huge Rayburns and who better to explain it all than a man with a fabulous moustache:
I love a good moustache! Do you think you’d ever consider a stove like a Rayburn? I’m really impressed with the idea of the single large hot plate. I imagine it would be fairly easy to get the hang of cooking with it.
I was asked if I’d like to share this video with you guys and seeing as I had already mentioned Rayburn in a post I was drafting, I felt it fit well. In exchange I’ve received a little treat that will go towards my hosting fees this year. I hope you don’t mind me including it.
No matter what I review or share the words are always my own and I only ever accept things that interest me and I think might interest you too. I guess you lot are a little bit special to me… n’aww!
